I got this kicka$$ letter today.

 

It doesn’t matter if you use Lyft or not, who you voted for, and where you come from. Do what you can about the things that grate you, and then keep moving forward.

When you feel dejected at the thought of the next 4 years, think of this: Eastern Europe managed to withstand 100 years of communism (no joke; the Communist Party was founded on January 1, 1912 by Vladimir Lenin). Romania alone made it through 45 years of oppression, hardship, stupid decision-making, incompetent leadership and disastrous investments.

4 years is NOTHING. Use this time to control the things you CAN control, and take action that is within your power. Don’t waste energy on things you can’t control or change.  (And honestly the whining is getting to be a bit much, no?)

Let’s continue to be there for each other, and together continue proving the power of community. Because only good can come out of that.
