Jessica Bogar

Program Strategy

An astute navigator of relationships that create social change, Jessica combines her experience in foundation advisory with a background in communications, event planning and fundraising specific to the political arena. Over several years she honed her skills overseeing a wide range of foundation programmatic activities, including the development of grantmaking strategies, the management of grant portfolios, and the development and implementation of a community initiative.

At Sky(lark), she rolls up her sleeves to dig deep into projects that span a variety of issues, including early childhood development, education, emergency response/disaster relief, environment, health, veteran’s issues, and women’s economic empowerment, both locally and on a global scale. She enjoys working with foundations, philanthropists, emerging non-profit leaders and Next Gen funders, helping them achieve greater impact with their charitable dollars.

Jessica splits her time between Los Angeles and Colorado. She works diligently in both markets towards a deeper understanding of the specifics of each community, constantly widening her network and listening to the needs on the ground.  As part of her Colorado work, Jessica is the Director of Communities for the GG Society Fellowship, a project of Sky(lark) that focuses on strengthening leadership capacity for Executive Directors and C-level staff.

Jessica has been sharing the day-to-day work with Cristina for more than 5 years. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Colorado, Boulder. She currently serves on advisory committees for Starfish One by One and Brent’s Place and is a Mile High United Way volunteer. Jessica is a committed yogi, passionate world traveler, and an avid podcast listener.  She believes in never postponing a dream and using the present to take action.
