With support from the BMW Foundation Herbert Quandt, Robert Bosch Stiftung and The Chicago Council, we are working with a group of young leaders from civil society in the United States and Germany to take charge and turn the page on the current political narrative, writing a new chapter in the transatlantic relationship between Germany and the US.

We believe that it is vital to use the civil society to build trust and a strong partnership, embracing core values set forth by prior generations, facing the common challenges of the future in a new way. We are working and building connections, making positive impacts in areas like advancing social inclusion, fighting extremism and climate change, calling for cooperation and mutual accountability, and engaging more citizens from our increasingly diverse societies to build upon the interests we share on both sides of the Atlantic.

After a series of covenings in Canada and Germany in 2016 and 2017, and fueled by weekly transatlantic conversation, the work is advancing specific projects spearheaded by a bi-national network of volunteers in Los Angeles, Chicago, Detroit and Berlin. We are currently expanding our partnerships and building momentum to engage others that share an interest to work together.
